 Is there an age restriction for passengers?
A: There are no age restrictions for passengers. However, passengers must be tall enough to be able to place their feet on the pegs on the back of the moped.
What do I need to rent a moped?
A: Every moped operator must be 18, with a valid driver’s license and credit card.
Do you have two person mopeds?
A: All of our mopeds are tandems and can accommodate a passenger.
Can I make a reservation for a bike or moped?
A: Currently, mopeds and bikes are on a first-come first-serve basis. We do, however, accept reservations for cars and large groups. We have 200 bikes and 35 mopeds, so we seldom sell out before 11:00 am.
What else does a moped rental include?
A: All rentals include unlimited fuel, helmets, eye protection and lessons in Block Island’s only dedicated moped practice facility.
Do you rent mopeds overnight?
A: We would be happy to rent you a moped overnight. However, local ordinance prohibits the operation of rental mopeds between the hours of 8:00 pm and 9:00 am.
Are we required to leave a deposit.
A: A credit card deposit is required for all rentals. This is to insure that the vehicle is brought back on time and in the same condition that it went out in.
How much is the deposit for?
A: The deposit is not for a specified amount. We simply take an imprint of your credit card, which we keep until you return the vehicle.
How fast do the mopeds go?
A: All of our mopeds have 50cc engines and are governed at 30 miles per hour. Island speed limit is 25
What is the mini-Hummer?
A: The mini-Hummer is actually a 1967 Volkswagen Thing that has been converted to look like a Hummer.
Which Classic Mustangs are available?
A: We have 1965, 1967 and 1969 Mustang available.
